Hello everyone.

I was cycling this afternoon about 4.30 along the National Equestrian trail north of the Belconnen Pony Club towards Dunlop.  Counted 13 Richard’s Pipits along the track and about 0.5 km south of Dunlop came across about 20 Welcome Swallows perched on the power line.  Some of the Welcome Swallows appeared to have very red rumps.  But as well as mingling with the Swallows there were about 15 Diamond Firetails perched along the fence.  After a bit of an observational break (no nocs though) I proceeded slowly and some of the little chaps kept ahead of me, leapfrogging down the fence for quite a way.  The most constant companion kept this up for about 300 metres.  There was also a bunch (about 10) Red-rumped Parrots, plus the mandatory flock of Starlings in that area.

The precise spot was 35 12 00 South and 149  00 19 East.
