On Sunday morning I heard a commotion, mainly from Currawongs, in a Brittle Gum behind our house (in Wamboin) and went to investigate (camera in hand). A raptor flew out, which I took to be a Hobby as it sped off (they're not uncommon out here) and managed a few quick snaps as it spiralled upwards. On downloading the pic I suspected it to be a Peregrine Falcon, subsequently confirmed by Steve Holliday. I have attached a photo (not too large) and will load it onto the Photo Gallery in due course. Our first Peregrine, and species no. 124 for our home list.
