This afternoon on the way back from Goulburn I stopped in at the winery rest area at Lake George.  A flock of what I estimated over 200 magpies flew from the Lake George side across the road and up the slope.  It was hard to be sure but from my view they all looked to be white backed, I could pick up no black on any backs at all.  I have never seen that many together before.
