We spent christmas day on the Numeralla River near Numeralla with family. I recorded 31 species on the property for the day. Of interest were the large numbers of Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters, as well as Brown-headed Honeyeater, Restless Flycatcher, Pallid Cuckoo, Australian Hobby, Rufous Songlark, Olive-backed Oriole Sacred Kingfisher and breeding Dusky Woodswallows.

A local landowner and birdo told me they had a pair of White-bellied Sea-Eagles nest on their property along the river for almost 30 years.

On the drive home we counted 7 Wedge-tailed Eagles in a 10 km stretch of the Monaro Hwy just past Bredbo.

Merry Xmas
Marnix
