Yesterday as I was returning from a walk on Black Mountain I happened upon a pair of Australian raven with three virtually independent young.  The three to four outer primaries on the right wing of one of the young were completely white, the shaft of each feather being black.  In all other respects the plumage was normal.  The adults and two remaining young were entirely black.  This observation was to the north of Rani Road, off Coulter Drive.  This unique marking, which I would have thought is unlikely to lead to and early demise, is worth noting for who knows where else the bird may turn up.
