Steve comes closest.

Not a backyard near Heathrow, or even England, but Republic of Ireland (Dublin, most European birds seen at the excellent wildlife sanctuary on Bull Island just a few miles walk north of Dublin's city centre) and Thailand (Chiang Mai province, including visits to Doi Suthep and Doi Inthanon when I was not required to be working).

Thoroughly recommend Bull Island to anyone travelling in Ireland, and Doi Inthanon to anyone in Thailand.

Paul
