Glad you had a good time there.
I have been out many times with John and I
know he and the group are quite active. Did you see any waders?

Birdwatchers of Hervey Bay
While visiting relatives in Hervey
Bay (Queensland,
near Fraser Island) last week I attended one of the
weekly Wednesday morning walks of the Birdwatchers of Hervey Bay. This
group visits a large number of sites in the Hervey
Bay area and on Fraser Island.
Any birdo visiting the area is welcome to join a Wednesday walk. The contact
person is John Knight Ph. 07 4125 2372.
As well as many birds common in the ACT, I saw:
Plumed
whistling-duck
Scaly-breasted
lorikeet
Australian brush
turkey
Spangled drongo
Brown honeyeater
Dusky honeyeater
Lewin’s
honeyeater
