I saw three or four longbilled corellas and a shortbilled corella
feeding on the ground near the Civic Pool the other day in company with
about 8 or 9 SCC.

Little Corellas have certainly increased in Canberra in recent years,
but isn't that partly due to a release of caged birds from the now
defunct zoo near Red Hill? Not saying that there hasn't been an influx
of wild birds, but I thought the birds seen around Griffith and
Narrabundah at least in part originated from these formerly captive
individuals - or is that one of those urban myths?
