See Canberra Bird Notes 21:3 56 (Sept 96). Based on the occurrence pattern
and the overall range extension, I think we have a combination of
captive-origin and 'arrived' birds. There was a more recent 'confession' in
the C Times by a person who claimed to have liberated 'them' (I assume at
least a few) in Griffith. Note also Joe Forshaw's story about an
Australia-wide mass-liberation by an aggrieved would-be exporter refused a
permit.
