Sorry guys, no bad intended Barbara - just doing badly at raising the point
that it's more than planting (native) vegetation e.g. feral spp. control,
fire management etc.
I put it down to the end of a long day. Actually I must be recovering from
digging up the veggie patch and still in a negative mood from losing a second
Grand Final in two years. This time we went thru undefeated before stumbling
again at the final hurdle!
POSITIVE: Labour Club carpark - monoculture of planted Ironbark - we all know
what's been seen there over the years! (Regent HE) I wonder if there's much
in flower at the moment?
Cheers, Alex.
Ps. Speak of the devil a couple of small flocks of White-naped HE in Scullin
yesterday arvo - now there's a call I love. I must admit the Yellow-faced HE
calls are great too. Reminds me of a being in the mountains.

Sorry to disagree Alex, but there's no reason for native plantings to
create monocultures. There are examples of 'bad' native plantings, but
I'm sure Barbara wasn't referring to them.
cheers
Ian
