Ticking can
become a bit boring. The more species you have ticked off the harder it becomes
to tick new species. To spice it up I challenge people to tick 'breeding'
records of species. And to submit them to COG (yes I know I am one of the slack
people).
For all those
photographers out there, I challenge
you to take good photos of female birds and juveniles. These are often much
harder to ID than adult males and it will be a valuable contribution to
Ornithology. Even better would be to have the bird's age attached to the photo
(yes you may have to follow the birds through the breeding/life
cycle).
I, myself, am
particularly interested in people getting good photos of juvenile and immature
whistlers, woodswallows and grey-vs pied currawongs. To assist with ID.
[I am a very
bad photographer].
