Yes Geoffrey, White-eared Honeyeaters do like Apple Box sap. I had an Odd Obs in CBN 28(3), referring to an incident in Jan. 03 in the eastern Tinderries. There were 8 Yellow-tufteds, 5 White-eared, and the odd Yellow-faced, New Holland and Fuscous Honeyeaters taking turns at the red sap oozing out of an Apple Box tree.
But that was in mid-summer.
