Having bothered people with several photos of nesting cormorants on the Molonglo River here is one of some double-crested cormorants nesting on a small island in the East River.  They are clearly visible from the UN Secretariat Building (the big oblong jobbie) and the roof of our apartment building.  The island is named after the former Secretary-General.
