I don't think anyone has written about there lately. There can't be many places that have such a compact and easy to get to place to see such a range of waterbirds. I spent a bit over an hour at Kelly's Swamp & Fyshwick Sewage Ponds on Friday afternoon. All through my newish Leica binoculars, this is almost a whole new experience. Still well worth a look, with 2 Freckled Ducks (one with slight red beak base), about 28 Pink-eared Ducks, 5 Blue-billed Ducks on FSP pond 6, plus the other common species, about 30 Shovellers at KS. A little flock of 15 Double-barred Finches (always a favourite of mine) beside FSP pond 6, which is a rather big group for these parts, to round off, one Little Eagle, one Whistling Kite & one B-s Kite and Cisticolas although those I saw had full tails. (How does Geoffrey get close enough to these tiny birds to get a photo like appeared last week.)
