Further to the reports of unseasonal birds, a Rufous Songlark at Bibaringa
yesterday.

Subject: more unseasonalities
An addition to some curious tales I've heard recently of very early
nest-building and presences of birds which should be absent - presumably
related to the generally mild winter and the hazards of migrating into a
drought. I was told this morning of two Fan-tailed Cuckoos, called
vigorously (and visibly) on Mt Ainslie. My same source (very reliable, as
he's an ex-student :-} ) also is sure he heard a Sacred Kingfisher, though
didn't see it.
Interesting times.
