It wasn't at night but at about 9.00 am on last
Monday morning I saw several straw-necked ibis on the roof
of one of the Defence offices in Russell. (A building next to the American Eagle
statue on the pole.) This struck me as odd. I don't know if they are not there
all of the time, as I don't often go there. The only reason I could think if is
that they may roost there overnight and those I saw had not bothered to come
down yet.
