On Sat evening Sue Lashko, Julie McGuiness, John and myself and our parents went looking for Powerful Owls in Tallaganda, after reading Marnix's recent message about seeing one on the Rossi Road. We started at Lowden Forest Park and worked our way back along the Lowden-Rossi Road. We had great views of Greater Gliders and reckon we saw about 12 in all. We also saw 3 ringtail possums. And then, when we were about to give up and go home, at about 8.30 we saw 2 Powerful Owls. Had quite good views and they were new for the four of us, my parents had seen them once before. We saw them on the Lewis Camp Fire trail, which is just a bit before, on the Rossi side, of the Forestry Buildings on the Rossi-Lowden Road. So we all went home pretty excited!
