I am receiving several a day and some, but not all, seem to be associated with the Birding lists. They are very hard to stop once they have entered a system. I have implemented a moderately successful system through my ISP. WEBONE has a filtering system that looks for offending keywords (this is a learning process as new spamming themes appear). Having identified a spam message, they insert a keyword in the header and I have set up a rule that detects the keyword and directs the offending emails to a JUNK folder. That way, I don't lose them and can check very quickly whether any appear genuine. The rest I delete. As they say: "It works for me". Cheers David Rosalky Deakin |
