efforts in securing this fantastic and well-needed facility and to Andrew for
his efforts in finding a practical solution to COG’s requirements.
One question though, will
the old archives from Topica be migrated?

archive now available
Greetings. I am delighted to announce that our CanberraBirds email
announcement and discussion list now has a serchable archive. It is located at
http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/canberrabirds/ . A link to
the archive may be found at the foot of each email posted to the list.
The archive has been developed for COG and list members generally by Dr Andrew
Taylor, a Sydney-based birder. We are extremely grateful to Andrew for this
wonderful service.
Andrew advises that e-mail addresses are displayed in the archive using
_javascript_ which should avoid their collection by spammers using e-mail
harvesters. There is also a basic spam filter in place.
Please note that, although the search engine is easy to use, it has quite
advanced capabilities for peope wishing to undertake complex searches. Click on
' [How
to search]' at the archive's home page for details.
Please contact me if you find any bugs or have suggestions for improvements.
Once again, many thanks to Andrew for establishing this facility for us.
