Hi,

On of the many magpies hanging around at the moment is behaving quite oddly. Its beak is open most of the time and its spreading itself out on the sloping edge of the mulch bed, in the sun, belly down, with its wings and tail fanned out.  Seems to be scratching a bit too so I wondered if had problem mites or something.  It can walk around and fly OK, and its plumage seems in reasonable nick.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Rachel
