We've just counted approx. 750 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters (no other species discernable) flying over our place in Wamboin, between 11.00am and 12.15 (31/3/05), in waves of approx. 50 to 100. All flying in a general north-easterly direction (getting the hell out of Canberra, for some reason).
They seem to be taking advantage of the clear day, and perhaps favourable breeze (they're still coming as I write this).
