I went for a walk up Gossan Hill this morning (as for most mornings) at 1005
to be greeted by a flock of 64 yellow faced honeyeaters heading East. They
were following the usual flight path just South of the ridge, heading
towards what is left of Bruce Ridge. No other species mixed in with them.

On returning to lower altitude (OK, only about 15m lower) I found 16
white-winged choughs sitting in a tree. They were nicely arranged in two
groups of 8 facing each other from separate branches. Much noise, much wing
flaring and eye rolling, so I presume this was a border dispute between two
clans.
