The Zebra Finches started in the smaller bush, flew across to the larger and eventually crossed the fence into the trees on the left.

This evening a horde of COG birders flocked to Dunlop to try to find the Zebra Finches reported by Joe Barr in the morning. After a wait of up to 45 minutes for some, the birds, three of them, showed up in the hawthorn bushes described. This was just before 6 pm, and was of course less than 10 minutes after Ian Fraser had left (sorry Ian!). A couple of photos are attached.
