Fw: [canberrabirds] Kelly crakes

Today at lunch....2 Spotteds, a Spotless,
2 Baillon's, a Buff-banded Rail, plus a Yarden Oren up a tree, all at the
reedy channel.
As I left a wonderful low flypass of
20 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos and a Collared Sparrowhawk crossing the
bridge at Molonglo Reach on the drive back to work.

Harvey's tree-climbing exploits have given me an idea!
(Unfortunately these
days I'm better at ideas than climbing trees; sadly that gives some idea
of
how my arboreal aptitude has degenerated.)  Would not an elevated
crake hide
at the channel be a wondrous thing?!
