Thanks Marnix - yes we are in agreement. I was merely
establishing that your spot was different from Benj's which was 2-300m north (ie
downstream) from the carpark.
I was there this morning. An interesting spot and well
worth a visit. Another hotspot for Rufous Songlarks. The only
raptors I saw were a kestrel and a wedgie that was circling overhead holding a
stick (it flew off with it up the gully that comes in from the northeast
upstream from the carpark.
