Thanks to those who responded. Apparently the area where the bird has been
seen some of the time is visible from outside the venue (looking through a
chain link fence). However as the event involved is a trance music
festival <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defqon.1_Festival#Events>and thus
likely to become extremely noisy as soon as sound checks etc begin I've
decided the chances of spotting the bird have become too small to justify
wasting a tank of diesel.
