Stubble Quail Kairi district
Duffy Road. 5 Stubble Quail. photo's taken through windscreen and in rain.
Norton Gill

Sat 1 Mar

Shining Flycatcher Masters Road Lagoons, Toobanna. Ingham
Male seen from moving vehicle in undergrowth over small stream. Returned and observed that the bird was extremely active, singing and appeared agitated. Female appeared on branch beside male and joined in the music. Female quickly retreated when closer approach was attempted. Seems unusual that the male remained visible when the female retreated - prior species observation has seen the male to be very wary and shy
