Sat 14 Dec Azure Kingfisher Henty River
Azure Kingfisher (1) 1 km upstream of bridge/boat ramp

Thu 12 Dec Dusky Woodswallow, Australian Hobby, White-necked Heron, King Island
2 Dusky Woodswallows along Sea Elephant Road, also a Little Egret at the Sea Elephant Estuary Lavinia Nature Reserve. A single White-necked Heron seen from North Road, north of the cross road named Graves Road. An Australian Hobby seen along Cape Wickham Road straight after seeing 6 Galahs take flight from the roadside verge.

Wed 11 Dec Kelp Gull Cow and Calf Rocks, Rocky Cape National Park.
Two adults, probably the same birds as seen frequently over the last ten years on Sisters Isl, 7km to the SE. Used to see the species occasionally on Burnie Harbour breakwater but have not been out there for years. Have never seen it (35y obs) anywhere else in the NW, except for nearby Rocky Cape.

Pink-eared Duck, Red-kneed Dotterel, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper King Island
3 Pink-eared Ducks at Shag Lagoon, plus 2 at Pearshape Lagoon along with 2 Blue-billed Ducks. 2 Sharp-tailed Sandpipers and a Red-kneed Dotterel at the western end of Heddles Road.
