Published sightings for the week ending 15 Sep 2013.

Thu 12 Sep White-throated Gerygone Private property,Point Sturt Road.
White-throated Gerygone (1) Was amazed to find a sub-adult Gerygone foraging in our Mallee Box woodlot this morning!First detected by the call,then observed for 20 minutes from as little as 3 metres away! Photos obtained.

Wed 11 Sep Sacred Kingfisher, Peregrine Falcon, Rufous Songlark, Australasian Pipit Whites Road Wetlands, Bolivar
Sacred Kingfisher: (1) Located by call Peregrine Falcon: (1) Dived for an in-flight attack on a Pacific Black Duck directly in front of me, miraculously the duck escaped Rufous Songlark: Unsure whether 1 or several (up to 4) birds, photographed and call recorded Australasian Pipit: (1) Characteristic tail-bobbing observed

Incidental observation made whilst driving Osprey (1) Flying low over cliffs along Esplanade between Butterworth Rd. and Stock St. Perched a moment on the clifftop just beyond permapine railings before heading north again. Great views had as we were driving along the Esplanade

White-winged Triller (2) Pair foraging in established revegetation.

Sat 31 Aug Hooded Plover Vivonne Bay, Kangaroo Island
Two pairs incubating eggs; one pair slightly away from beach in small lunettes at estuary of Harriet River; the other pair have slightly elevated nest on primary dune, near Spot X, S of Eleanor River Mouth.
