Thu 3 Jan	Australian Spotted Crake Lake Galletly, University Queensland, Lawes Still hanging around on the 'beach' of the southern shoreline if anyone needs it for their year list. Best viewed from the road and in the afternoon for the best light. Steve Murray
	Banded Lapwing Banool Road, Lockyer Valley Banded Lapwing (37) Large numbers for this area. All counted in paddock adjacent to Waters Rd. Very likely several more out of my line of sight. Steve Murray
	Eungella Honeyeater Eungella NP At least five early am near bottom of Chelmans Road approximately 400m up road from last house. Also another four at junction of Dalrymple Road and Snake Road. Andy Jensen
Wed 2 Jan	Oriental Cuckoo Anstead Bushland Reserve Just the one this morning. Birds almost inaudible by 7am due to deafening cicadas! Andrew Stafford
Tue 1 Jan	Musk Lorikeet Gold Creek Reservoir A pair seen well preening this morning. An odd summer record for Brisbane. Chris Wiley
	Spotless and Baillon's Crakes Minnippi A few Spotless and Baillon's Crakes around the centre islands. Also 2 Wandering Whistling Ducks and a Red-kneed Dotterel Stuart Pickering
Mon 31 Dec	Square-tailed Kite Lake Samsonvale 1 bird along Postman's Track Rob Morris
	White-throated Needletail (>65) Brisbane Airport White-throated Needletail (65) Hawking skies over airport. Could quite conceivably have been more (maybe close to 100 birds), as it was difficult to follow their progress once they disappeared over terminal roof and they may have doubled back. Michael Wood
	Cotton Pygmy-Goose Lockyer Valley Seen at 4 sites - 2 places on Atkinson Dam; near Kilcoy; near Lake Clarendon Greg Roberts & Chris Corben
	Plum-headed Finch, Brown Songlark Jahnke's Lagoon 2 Plum-headed Finch, several Brown Songlark, 1 Rufous Songlark, several Black Kites Greg Roberts & Chris Corben
	Australian Painted-Snipe Seven Mile Lagoon One male in small swamp along Haslingden Road behind Seven Mile Lagoon. One bird also at the Lake Clarendon school spot. Greg Roberts & Chris Corben
Sun 30 Dec	Australasian Shoveler, Hoary-headed Grebe, Red-necked Avocet Seven Mile Lagoon 10 Australasian Shovler, 12 Hoary-headed Grebes, 45 Red-necked Avocets, several hundred Glossy Ibis (extraordinary number for south-east Queensland) Greg Roberts & Chris Corben
	Black Falcon Lake Atkinson 1 bird seen well over Dam wall, mid afternoon Stuart Pickering and Dave Mitford
	White-winged Black Tern Lake Clarendon 1-2 birds among a small flock of Whiskered Terns Stuart Pickering and Dave Mitford
