Evening Everyone

I have started to go thru my photos from last December on the aborted trip
to Mawson's Hut but the bird rich area of the Southern Ocean more than made
up for not reaching our goal, of note were a couple of Slender-billed
Prions, Blue Petrel and my best ever shot of a Light-mantled Albatross. It
is a species that  just takes your breath away when you see them climbing
and banking around the ship, on that note for all you pelagic enthusiasts
the Spirit Of Enderby is a great ship to be on as it only goes along at 10
knots making photography and seeing the birds such a great pleasure and an
extremely stable platform for taking photos. If any of you are thinking of
doing the trip from Albany to Hobart in early December I would strongly
recommend it. Here is my usual link
