Rosemary Purdy (from the UK) and I saw a sub-adult Pallid Cuckoo grimly
clinging to a power line on Toynes Rd just east of the You Yangs (Victoria)
in the high winds yesterday. Pallid Cuckoo has been seen regularly along
Toynes Rd in early spring over past years, although some years through the
drought I failed to see any. Richard

There seem to be more Pallid Cuckoos around Hamilton and district at the
moment than I have experienced in many a year. Since I saw the first one 2
weeks ago I reckon I've seen or heard 8. What are other's experiences this
spring?
