Hi Debbie For what its worth you are likely having an effect. My partner's
step father is an avid shooter.... he went to the opening weekend and
complained that there were not enough hunters to move the ducks around the
wetlands so has not bothered to go back again this year. Today I waddled around
wetlands near Seaspray in Gippsland... normally at the end of the season I
would expect to find empty shells everywhere... I found 2 empty shells in over
an hours walking as well as several 1000 grey teal.... normally there would be
100's of empty shells and bugger all ducks. Quail hunting however is another
story... and probably a much more important battle IMHO. CheersTim
