Although a fairly early bird, not a rarity for SEQ waters and we have had them 
well onto the shelf and within sight of the shore. We have had up to 4 around 
the vessel at a time. Not a submittable species for Queensland, the 
Light-mantled Sooty is. Cheers - Paul.

Colin, as a general rule BARC only deals with national, Australia wide, 
rarities so would not assess your Cape Petrel. It should be submitted to the 
Queensland authorities. I think the contact there is David Stewart - 
copied-in.
