Those visiting the Western Treatment Plant would know they need to register
their visit with Melbourne Water. This week, I spoke to the fabulous Tracy who
is normally a voice on the recorded message that asks you to leave your permit
number, car rego and date of visit.
She answered the phone!
We had a chat and I suggested they might like to put into place an SMS service
so that birders could record their details that way as well.
She said that was what a few people had asked for but that until there was
higher demand, Melb Water wouldn't act. They did record every suggestion,
however.
So anyone who would like this to happen is encouraged to ring or write to
Melbourne Water and ask that it be considered. Ph 9235 2828 or
