Personally I quite like the new logo. It does what it has to do, which is
distance itself from BOCA and BA logos, tie in with the Birdlife
International logo, and be recognizable as a bird. In the end, its main
job is to be a recognizable symbol of the organisation, not some artistic
tour de force!
