Sat 17 Dec Mallee Whipbird Cape Du Couedic
At least 4 pairs loudly calling in roadside vegetation early in the morning (dawn) between Cape Du Couedic and Weir Cove. Were very accommodating with multiple exceptional views. Exciting after dipping at Innes National Park earlier in the year. (Disappointing to see trampled mallee vegetation in this area - hoping it wasn't caused by over zealous and short-term thinking twitchers as I suspect if it continues it won't be so easy to see this special bird in future!!)

During quick checks at least 6 seen at north-west side of Murray Lagoon (Curley Creek Hike) and then another 5 seen at north- west side of Birchmore Lagoon (behind KI Lavendar Farm).
