Sun 16 Oct	Pallid Cuckoo, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Dollarbird, Leaden Flycatcher, White-necked Heron Campbell Park The migrants have returned with 1 Pallid Cuckoo, 3 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo seen and at least a further 6 heard. Leaden Flycatcher (3) 2m, 1f and one White-necked Heron on the farm dam. Alastair Smith
	Intermediate Egret, Royal Spoonbill, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick Intermediate Egret and 2 Sharp-tailed Sandpiper still on the swamp. 3 Royal Spoonbills flew over. Alastair Smith
	Australasian Shoveler, Royal Spoonbill, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant 17 Australasian Shoveler 3 Royal Spoonbill flying over 3 Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Alastair Smith
	Leaden Flycatcher Umbagong Park (Latham - West Belconnen) At least 6 birds present this morning. Also 5 Rufous Whistlers. Peter Christian
Sat 15 Oct	Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Gooromon Ponds Crossing Still on the pond above the crossing at 17.00 hrs. Peter Christian
	Great Crested Grebe West Belconnen Pond Single bird on the central basin this evening (16.00 hrs onwards). Also Great Egret at northern end of pond. Peter Christian
	Masked Woodswallow Mt Pleasant Single bird seen near the military obstacle course next to the summit road, about half way up. Nick Payne
	White-necked Heron, Intermediate Egret, Australian Painted Snipe Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick White-necked Heron (1) Intermediate Egret (1) Australian Painted Snipe (3) Alastair Smith
	Buff-banded Rail, Baillon's Crake, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant Buff-banded Rail and Baillon's Crake in the NE cnr of pond 6 and 3 Sharp-tailed Sandpiper in pond 5 Alastair Smith
Fri 14 Oct	Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mt Majura, c. 0.5km north of summit 2 pairs, feeding in stand of dense Allocasuarina Nicki Taws
	Dollarbird Ainslie, Canberra A bird heard calling loudly, but not seen, in our Garden Bird Survey area. Stephanie Haygarth and Matthew Higgins Stephanie Haygarth
	Fuscous Honeyeater, Rufous Whistler Kama reserve Fuscous Honeyeater had just had a bath in the creek and spent about 10 mins preening. From the photos I took at was a young non breeding bird, The (female) Rufous Whistler was quite high up in a eucalypt it didn't give the impression collecting food. Roger Williams
	Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Turf farm Fyshwick There was a juvenile Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at the small pond adjacent to Dairy Flat Road on the Turf Farm at lunch time today. Milburn
	Australian Painted Snipe, Australian Pelican, Intermediate Egret, Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick Australian Painted Snipe (2) definitely able to identify adult female, but not second bird. Intermediate Egret (1) Australian Pelican (2) flying over Alastair Smith
	Intermediate Egret Kellys Swamp coming in to breeding plumage, single Great Egret also present, no Painted Snipe visible Steve Holliday
	Baillon's Crake, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, Brown Quail Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Ponds recorded during a lunchtime visit, RN Stint was awol, 3 Sharpies still present, Baillon's Crake was on flattened reeds near se corner of Pond 6 Steve Holliday
Thu 13 Oct	Australian Painted Snipe Kellys Swamp, Jerrabomberra Wetlands Three Australian Painted Snipe (1 male, 1 imm. female, 1 adult female) feeding together at 6:30pm at the southern end of Kellys Swamp. Leo Berzins
	Red-necked Stint Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant One Red-necked Stint and Three Sharp-tailed Sandpipers on pond 7. Alastair Smith
Wed 12 Oct	Barn Owl High Court of Australia, Parkes A single ) Barn Owl being harassed at the High Court today (lunchtime and still there at 5pm).Found near the steps on the Western side of the building Jim Longworth
	Great Egret, Australian Painted Snipe Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick Great Egret (8) 7 flying over in a flock and a single bird. 2 Australian Painted Snipe adult and juvenile females. Alastair Smith
Tue 11 Oct	Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Gooromon Ponds Creek Crossing a juvenile this eveving (6pm) on the Pond above the crossing of Gooromon Ponds Creek on the track between Jaramlee Gate and West Belconnen Pond - where the creek crosses the border (not the first Pond coming from Jaramlee Gate but the one on the far side of the creek). 	White-throated Gerygone Laurel Camp Rd - Pierces Creek Two birds heard & seen in tall gums near small dam approx 1 km from Paddys River Rd Scott Ryan
Mon 10 Oct	Southern Whiteface Urambi Hills NR 2 seen in open paddock with sparse low exotic bushes Jim Longworth
	Rainbow Bee-eater Narrabundah Hill Only a single bird seen flying and feeding from a clump of dead trees along the track beside the water pipeline. John Bromhead
	Brown Quail Tharwa Sandwash Recreation Area Single bird flushed from bare patch between picnic tables and car park. The bird flew across the Murrumbidgee and landed in dense grass some 300 metres away. Marnix Zwankhuizen
	Southern Whiteface Coree, Uriarra Road/Mountain Creek Road junction A single Southern Whiteface observed at 1215. Alastair Smith
