Hello John
My very first impression of this bird was that it looked like a Spinifexbird.
Recently, when up in the Pilbara, several were seen perched out in the open
such as this one.

Hi everyone,
A few of us have been discussing the identity of a bird photographed on our
trip to Cue at Easter this year. I didn't see it in the field as I'd wandered
off, but I'm pretty sure I know what it is. But it would be nice to hear a few
other opinions - the photo can be seen at
(hopefully the link goes through all right)
