Published sightings for the week ending 8 May 2011.

Wed 4 May Long-billed Corella, Buff-banded Rail Clonlea Park, Gawler
Long-billed Corella: behind playground equipment, digging in dirt around base of Euc. sp. (8). Buff-banded Rail: see list notes, bird was seen skulking around dripping tap. Bird ran into saltbush cover giving a brief view and minutes later was flushed (flew) from one end of cover into deeper cover as man w/ dog off of leash approached. (1).

Sun 1 May Black Falcon 2km north of Lochiel
Single Black Falcon amongst flocks of starlings.

Sat 30 Apr Rufous Fieldwren Port Augusta West 10' Cell
good views of one bird at north/western end of road, not far beyond 'dirt track' racing complex, others heard along road where bluebush/saltbush was predominant (5).

Fri 29 Apr Black-breasted Buzzard Lake Killamperpunna on Coopers Creek
Adult and immature bird seen on consecutive days amongst a flock of (~20) Black Kites.

Tue 26 Apr Elegant Parrot Parachilna Gorge, northern Flinders Ranges
A number of small flocks (~20 birds in total) seen perched amongst river red gums at the western end of the gorge.
