G'day,

James Eaton and Frank Rheindt are currently looking into the taxonomy of the whole Southern Boobook complex, including New Zealand and all Indonesian taxa.

I've been talking to James, having directed him to archives containing the recent birding-aus discussions on lurida, etc., and he would be really interested to hear from anyone with experience or sound recordings of this race / species / complex.

James's email address is jameseaton AT birdtourasia.com

Cheers - Trevor.
