Where did you hear that? That would be very surprising!
Sacra has never been part of the garzetta complex.
Also the eastern form of Western Reef Egret schistacea although mostly treated
as a subspecies of garzetta might not be part of the garzetta complex but
clearly different from Eastern Reef Egret sacra.
The confusing thing is that the western form of Western Reef Egret gularis is
likely conspecific with garzetta!
