Hi All,

I will be in WA in early March on a non-birding trip, but with some time for
birding. I don't yet have a specific itinerary, but
will be based in Perth, with a couple of days in Shark Bay and a couple in the
Margaret River area.

Any suggestions on good birding spots, especially around Shark Bay where I
haven't been before, would be useful.

As well, I am particularly interested in the following species:

Malleefowl

Common Pheasant - Rottnest - golf course?

Red-tailed Tropicbird - Sugarloaf Rock?

Roseate Tern

Fairy Tern

Lesser Noddy - is there anywhere these can be seen from the mainland?

Thick-billed Grasswren - Monkey Mia carpark?

Dusky Gerygone

Slender-billed Thornbill

Mangrove Grey Fantail

Any rarities - I notice that Oriental Pratincole, Long-toed Stint and Asian
Dowitcher have been seen sighted in recent weeks - are any of these still
around?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick Livanos
