Sat 27 Nov Albert's Lyrebird Cunningham's Gap
A Group of Four birds were stumbled across on one of the track-ways leading upto the summit of Mt. Cordeux. Rather tame and tolerating until other walkers came along

South Polar Skua Southport Pelagic
Brief views of a dark phase bird on the way in (no photos this month). Also on the trip in addition to Tahitis, Gould's and Black-winged Petrels, we had good nos. of Wilson's Storm Petrels, Short-tailed, Wedge-tailed and Flesh-foot Sheaterwaters, Arctic and Pomerine Skuas (Jaegers), and other normal common species - common, little and crested terns, pied cormorants etc.

Sooty Terns Southport Pelagic
Approximately 10 birds today including some juvs.

Tahiti Petrels Southport Pelagic
Double figures today 10-15 birds min.

Black-winged Petrel Southport Pelagic
At least 2 birds today - 1 seen sitting on the water near a Pomerine Jaeger on the way back in.

At least 1 bird seen well today.

Thu 25 Nov Salvin's Albatross South Stradbroke Island eastern beach
Live beach-washed individual, identfied as sub-adult. Currently recuperating at Sea World. Submission to be made to BARC. Ed. (R. Morris) On speaking to Paul Walbridge this evening I believe this may be a first record of 'salvini' for Queensland.

Topknot Pigeons Old Hidden Vale Grandchester /Little Liverpool Range
First time i have seen them in this area a flock of about 20 in fig trees have been here now for about 3 weeks.
