Terry and I shared two great passions - birding, and Apple computers.  
I was never fortunate enough to meet Terry in person, but we chatted  
by phone a number of times about these two interests. It was a shock  
to learn of his death and to realise that many of us have lost a  
friend, and that the birding world has lost one of its most generous  
and ardent supporters.  Our condolences go to his wife, Sue, who like  
Terry has been in and out of hospital many times over the last few  
years; and to his daughter, sons and grandchildren.
