Grey Honeyeater Kunoth Bore area - 2km past the normal turnoff
1km south of the main rd.
excellent views of a pair. We failed yesterday in cold and wet
conditions but found a pair in good mulga 2km from the Thomas and Thomas
site which is generally in a poor state due to previous fires.

Thu 16 Sep Rufous-crowned Emu-wren Santa Teresa Rd site (32km from
the airport)
The Santa Teresa road is a complete mud bath at present. We found a pair
feeding 3 or 4 juvs in the late evening. The juvs were so tame they
walked within inches of us. They climbed up the spinifex and fluttered
to the next bush! The couldn't have been out of the nest for more than a
day or 2.

Wed 15 Sep Scarlet-chested Parrot 82km West of the Olgas
2 males and 1-2 females present in the previously reported area.
Fantastic birds!

Mon 13 Sep Banded Whitefaces 21 km north of Erldunda
Thomas and Thomas site 21km north of Erldunda on the west side of the
road. I have never failed to see them at this site - we actually saw
them sat on the fence by the highway!
