Published sightings for the week ending 1 Aug 2010.

Thu 29 Jul Eastern Barn Owl Kenilworth Road nr. Sunday Creek
Andy Jensen and I went looking for owls on the way home from work last
night. Interesting to find breeding Eastern Barn Owls going into a hole
in a tree along Sunday Creek in an area where Masked Owls are regularly
reported. Clearly both species must interact in this area. The Barns
were nesting right in thick wet eucalypt forest along the creek. Not
sure if that is unusual? Many Tawny Forgmouths around and heard lots of
S. Boobooks.
