grey goshawks on the wire

In the Clarence Valley, north coast NSW, the Grey Goshawk appears to be an 
altitudinal (or possibly latitudinal) autumn-winter migrant.  The species is 
not usually present in the Clarence lowlands during spring-summer.  I have 
seen them perched on power poles in sugar cane areas, on a beer bottle stuck 
in the top of a fence post, on a bird aviary and in more natural sites.
