Dear Liz

Please excuse Tony! He is a well-known purveyor of short, sharp, poor
quality humour that we here have go to know well and learnt to ignore 99% of
the time and NEVER take seriously. One might call him our resident "pest"!

We Australian birders are Almost totally of the type that you mention you
have encountered on prior trips and will offer friendliness, companionship
and as much helpful advice and support as we can.

Please continue to use birding-aus to investigate for your trip and to ask
for advice or assistance. We welcome you.

Regards
Bob Cook

Hi Bob (et al)

I have apologised to Tony off-list and now am doing it on-list. I bit back, having had a bad morning. The overwhelming feelings of rejection and being shunned from your wonderful country were just too much to handle :)) As I said to Tony, I may just have to adopt him - call it a project if you will.

Cheers
Liz
