Subject: Eastern bristlebird in the news

If the event goes ahead, are there plans to do any follow up studies to check
if any of the predicted impacts have occurred?

Hi Peter,

To be fair to the ecological consultant who provided advice to the rally
organizers, he did recommend a range of mitigation measures to help reduce the
ecological impacts of the rally, including the development of koala management
plans. He also recommended monitoring the impacts during the rally, a
recommendation which is likely to be taken up by the organizers. However, the
ecologists who have independently reviewed the ecological impact assessment
have concluded that the mitigation measures do not go far enough.

Regards,
Stephen Ambrose
